Learning Goals Chart

A pocket chart works great for an elementary classroom where you are teaching 6 or 7 subjects a day.  The kiddos love to refer back to it and talk about our latest topic.  They get excited when they see a topic change to a brand new unit too.

A parent once told me that her 1st Grader was very excited about meeting some new friends in class, but was having trouble remembering their names.  Ever since then I have always done a Friends Activity where the students can bring home their classmates' names to share with their families.  Now I have turned this activity into the MY NEW CLASSMATES SCOOT GAME & 4 FRIENDS INTERVIEW opportunity that is COMMON CORE ALIGNED with the Speaking and Listening Standards.

  • Directions and Recording Sheets are included for the Scoot Game and Interview Share.
  • Brainstorm Questions Poster for students to select good questions to ask to get to know a new friend.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO DOWNLOAD THE FREEBIE AND SHARE IT!!
I WOULD LOVE FOR THIS ACTIVITY TO GET PASSED ALONG!
